I have been a patient of Dr. Behm's for about four years now. I'm 57 years old, and have lived in 5 different states, so I've seen several dentists over the years. I can say without a doubt that Ray Behm is the best dentist I've ever had.  More than that, as far as I'm concerned, he sets a new, higher standard for dentists. First of all, Dr. Behm cares for people. Most dentists, even if very competent technically, are running an assembly line for fixing bodies. Sometimes I think they don't even really notice someone is there; they might as well be working on an automobile engine.

Ray talks to you, explains what's going on, gives you options where they exist, tells you why you need to do something and what happens if you don't. You really feel that he cares about you and would like to talk to you all day, if he didn't have other patients to see. The sense is that he is helping you care for your body, helping you be more responsible for your own condition.

Frankly, this goes a long way towards easing the pain and discomfort often associated with a visit to the dentist. I'm not saying this makes dentistry fun, but it definitely makes it a lot better.

Secondly, the methods and materials Dr. Behm uses are way in advance of what almost all dentists do. In my case this was really important as I had a serious problem with the amalgam fillings in my mouth. It's been two years since he took the last mercury out of my mouth and I can say unequivocally that this has been a major step in -- one of the two biggest steps -- in restoring my health, which had been deteriorating for over a decade. My health is now the best it has been in many years and is no longer a problem to me.

I recommend Dr. Behm without reservation to my friends and contacts, and I know I'm not the only one. I see people literally flying in from all over the country to have work done by him. If you either want or need a higher level of dental care, Dr. Behm is the man to see.
